Sabah is located in East Malaysia, occupying the northern part of Borneo island. It's famed for its approximately 4,000 metre (13,123.4 foot) tall Mount Kinabalu, the country’s highest peak. Sabah is also known for its tropical green rainforests, azure blue beaches, colourful coral reefs and abundant wildlife, within its reserves and parks. Tourists flock here to immerse themselves in the food, culture and people.
Day 1: - 1 – Airport Pick up to your hotel to rest up from a long journey flight to Kota Kinabalu Sabah. (Dinner)
Meet up for dinner at local Jumbo Seafood restaurant.
Day 2: – Twin Island /Snorkeling/Scuba-Diving (Breakfast/Dinner)
6 1/2 hours day of fun in Twin Island, pick up at hotel 8 a.m. follow by breakfast at a local breakfast café "KOPITAN" then drive to the harbor for a banana boat drive to Twin Island.
Spend a full day around the beautiful Twin Islands completely at your own leisure.
Choose between optional water activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, sea walking, jet ski flying, banana boat riding and parasailing.
Enjoy a relaxing day at the white, sandy beach and swim in the clear blue waters.
Savor a delicious BBQ buffet lunch and benefit from a round trip hotel transfer.
Day 3: – Sandakan Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center (Breakfast/Dinner)
Journey into the jungles of Borneo on this incredible tour of the Sandakan Sepilok Rehabilitation Center. Learn about conservation efforts being made to protect wild orangutans and watch a dedicated team of naturalists teach these orphaned primates the survival skills necessary to exist once they are released back into the wild.
What to Expect:
Venture into the jungle on this Sandakan Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center full-day trip from Kota Kinabalu. Enjoy the convenience of hotel pick up in the city and choose from ground transportation to the center or airport transfer (flight surcharge subject to change).
Upon arrival at the center, follow your guide into the largest and oldest orangutan conservation center on the planet and learn how dedicated professionals work to protect orphan primates and prepare them for return to their natural habitat—the jungles or Borneo.
This tour includes a walk along a tall wooden walkway where you’ll have a bird’s-eye view of bright orange orangutans emerging from the foliage for feedings. At 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Although these primates roam freely in the jungle, travelers should be advised that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
After exploring the grounds and getting up close to the animals, you’ll head to a local restaurant for a satisfying Malaysian meal. Spend the afternoon touring Sandakan, where local markets filled with produce and handicrafts offer the perfect option for collecting souvenirs. Your guide will point out Chinese architecture and other traditional influences when you visit Puh Jih Shih Buddhist Temple. Wander the grounds and then take in the incredible views of Sandakan Bay from its hilltop location.
Day 4 - Optional
Cooking class with Chef Malaysia Mei and Local Malaysia Chef, learn to cook and savour the local Sabah feast. We will tour the local farmer market in the morning to meet the farmers/rangers and to purchase and identify the local spices and seasoning before heading to Malaysiamei’s culinary center to a fun cooking lesson, follow by sit-down lunch to taste and sample a family meal prepared by the students.

Day 5 - Mari Mari Cultural Village Half Day Tour (Breakfast/Dinner)
Experience how the indigenous ethnic groups of Borneo used to live in the olden days when electricity had not yet been introduced in their land, communal long houses with a common hall for traditional crafts and weaving, The Chief “ warriors” were known as “head hunters” at another time and another space in time in another life, it is rare opportunity to allow yourself to immerse in their culture and traditional. Experience one of a kind local warrior dances of the indigenous Sabah people.
Day 6 – Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (Picnic lunch/Dinner)
Cruise to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park for a day of snorkeling and ziplining to get two remarkable perspectives on Borneo's gorgeous reefs and marine wildlife. You'll snorkel from a boat or one of the islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, then experience the Coral Flyer, a zipline that connects two tropical islands, soaring above crystal-clear water and coral reefs. This full-day Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park tour includes all activities, lunch, and snorkeling equipment for a relaxing day in the islands.
Day 7 – Kota Kinabalu City Tour 1/2 day (Lunch/Dinner)
Discover the rich history and heritage of Kota Kinabalu on this comprehensive 3-hour city tour, including hotel pick-up. Visit landmarks like Wisma Tun Mustapha (Sabah Foundation Building) and the City Mosque; pay a visit to the prestigious University of Sabah and tour the fascinating Sabah Museum. Stop first at the Wisma Tun Mustapha (Sabah Foundation Building), a circular tower of steel that stands at 30-storeys high and one of the city's most important icons. Then, be taken to the University of Sabah, one of Malaysia's top universities to learn about the various schools, faculties and research that this university contributes. Afterward, head to the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque and admire this exemplary model of Islamic architecture. Built right on the site of the Likas Bay, this gorgeous and dramatic structure looks like it is floating right on the man-made lagoon. Day 8 – 1/2 day tour/hike to Mount Kota Kinabalu (Breakfast/Dinner)
Make the most of your time on the 13,435-foot (4,095-meter) Mount Kinabalu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site valued for its biodiversity, on a private tour. Visit the Mountain Garden to learn about the flora and fauna of the area and hike uphill to the Canopy Walkway for views over the treetops. Exploring with a private guide means you'll receive undivided attention and benefit from insider knowledge of the natural area. This is strenuous activity only for those who are healthy/fit. Day Trip - 8 hours Private Tour
The wildlife park's main aim is to educate the public about the endangered animals of Borneo, by showcasing endangered animals such as Borneo Pygmy Elephants, Sumatran Rhinos, Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys and many more.
A botanical garden, run by the Sabah Forestry Department, occupies one end of the wildlife park and provides an opportunity to get to know the plant life of Borneo.
Located about 36km from the city centre and 700m asl, Kipandi Butterly Park is situated within the cool crispy mountain area of the Crocker Range. Home to more than 100 species of butterfly and a collection of more than 1500 species of beetles, this park is perfect for those interested in both the entomology world and native orchids of Borneo (there are 400 species of orchids at the park). The trip includes a demonstration on setting of dried specimens for collectors and bird watching.
Day Tour - 8 hours
Pick-Up @8:00 a.m. from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu and transfer to Lok Kawi Wildlife Park. You will see wildlife that are endemic to Borneo such as the Pygmy Elephants, Proboscis monkeys, Sumatran Rhino, Orang-Utan and many more.
At 11:30 p.m. go for lunch before trip to Kipandi Butterfly Park (Butterfly Garden, Insect Museum, Native Plant Garden).
Enjoy an hour drive through outskirt of KK in Penampang with a view of "kampung" villagers' lifestyle in the rural area. Heading up to the Crocker Range, the surrounding air gets cooler due to the high elevation.
